Side A: how it plays

Each level has a red heart somewhere you cannot reach yet. You get ducks, and two identical ducks merge into a stronger, more complex one. The point of merging is not the duck itself but what it can do: according to Poki, some ducks jump higher, some bounce a basketball, and that is how you get to the heart.

Poki says every level is different, so the job changes each time: look at where the heart sits, work out which ability would get you there, then merge towards that duck. The game also has upgrades you buy and coins that pile up on their own, which is the idle part of the label.

Controls are minimal. Click or tap to choose a duck; click or tap and hold to move it. It works the same on a desktop and on a phone or tablet.

Side B: things to try early

• Look at the heart first. The level usually tells you which ability you need before you start merging.
• Do not merge everything on reflex. Two weaker ducks can be more useful than one strong duck with the wrong ability.
• Spend the passive coins on upgrades between levels rather than letting them sit.
• If a jump falls short, the fix is usually one more merge, not a better aim.
